Our employees are fully conversant in the most up to date health and safety training in order to maintain their ability to carry out the company operations to the highest health and safety standards that we expect and require.

 

 

At SEC Group, our health and safety credentials are numerous and include:

 

  • Employing an in-house trained and experienced Group Health and Safety Manager
  • Being a full membership of the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (IIRSM)
  • Full membership of Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH)
  • All our senior installation managers, supervisors and operatives hold the Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS), Site Supervision Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) certifications and Construction Skill Certification Scheme (CSCS) respectively
  • There is an ongoing training and requalification for employees in First Aid at work.

 

 

Health & Safety Platform Launched

 

SEC Group has recently launched its own Health & Safety online platform to highlight our commitment to ensure the environment where we work is safe for all colleagues and sub-contractors. The bespoke online App which measures the site and office Near Miss Potential Incident (NMPI) is designed to reduce risks across the business to ensure:

 

  • Positive safety performance
  • Reduction of risks
  • Improvement of claims defensibility

SEC Storage Finalists in Safety & Health Excellence Awards 2020 – we are delighted to announce our selection as finalists for the Safety & Health Excellence Awards in both ‘The Safer Logistics Award’ and ‘Best Health & Safety Project’ categories, with the winners being announced at the prestigious industry awards event to be held later this year.

SEC Storage designed and installed a highly efficient pallet racking and storage solution at a warehouse facility in the Midlands, which incorporated comprehensive health and safety elements including segregation, walkways, floor barriers and anti-collapse mesh to ensure a safe and efficient work space for all employees.

 

 

 

Meet Victor – SEC Group’s Health & Safety Manager

 

Dr Victor Onyebuchi brings a wealth of experience to the role as SEC Group’s Health & Safety Manager. He is a highly qualified Health & Safety professional with both an MSc and PhD from Cranfield University in the field of environmental engineering and also holds a NEBOSH Construction Certificate in Health & Safety.
