SEC Storage sponsors New Facility category at The Logistics Awards 2017

SEC Storage announced as The Logistics Awards sponsor

SEC Storage has been announced as the sponsor of the New Facility category at The Logistics Awards, to be held in London on September 21st.

The Logistics Awards, brought to you by SHD Logistics, recognise operational excellence and celebrate the very best companies within the logistics and supply chain sectors. The Awards are now in their fourth year and enable businesses to help differentiate from competitors with a public seal of approval of activities and facilities.

Following winning the New Facility award in 2015 with Kuehne + Nagel Ltd and being shortlisted as finalist in 2016, SEC Storage is delighted to sponsor the category.  The Grange St Paul's Hotel in London will open its door for an evening of fine food, entertainment and networking on Thursday 21st September. Paul Sinha, better known as 51 The Sinnerman on ITV's hit The Chase, will host the evening with wise and witty comedy.

The New Facility category looks for:

  • A new warehouse or distribution centre which has hit the ground running (within tight deadlines/budgetary constraints)
  • A new innovative use of logistics space due to changes in trends/lack of property available
  • Major technology projects which shape the future of the facility

Congratulations to all New Facility finalists for 2017:

  • Barnes Logistics
  • Culina Group
  • First Choice Group
  • iPort and Verdion with Amazon
  • Pharmacy2U
  • Team Leidos and MoD
  • The Wilkins Group

Gary Kirk, project sales director commenting on the awards sponsorship said:

"In a very dynamic and changeable market, it is essential to adapt and improve. Investment is key to this. Businesses that invest in operations are able to innovate and change which in turn helps them to grow and succeed.

"By recognising and celebrating these new facilities the logistics industry is able to learn and develop. Pioneers of new technology, methods and solutions will ensure that the UK logistics industry is able to create an environment that is competitive in a global market, especially following our decision to leave the EU.

"Having previously won the New Facility award with our project for Kuehne + Nagel and Ben Sherman, we know that recognition can bring huge benefits to any organisation, stimulating interest in innovation, solutions and future investment."

Gary Kirk was interviewed by editor of SHD Logistics magazine Kirsty Adams, regarding the importance of maximising logistics space in 2017. Find out more below or click here.
