SEC Interiors to Fit-Out Monarch Aircraft Engineering’s
new £2M Centre in Northampton
SEC Interiors has been awarded the complete CAT-B fit-out of Monarch Aircraft Engineering’s (MAEL) new Component Maintenance Centre in Northampton.
Following an extensive design and space planning period, SEC Interiors commenced works on the £2 million facility in April 2018 which is due for completion in September 2018.
The industrial fit-out of the brand new building on the Brackmills Industrial Estate includes:
The creation of a number of ground floor offices, meeting rooms and welfare areas
Various maintenance facilities including clean room, drying room, machine shop, composite ovens, spray booths and workshops
Multiple mezzanine floors to increase the capacity of the facility, being used for storage and production offices
An extensive electrical, heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC) installation
Reconfiguration of existing pallet racking installed by SEC Storage in September 2017
The new Centre is located mid-way between MAEL’s Luton and Birmingham base maintenance facilities, and within four hours’ drive all of its UK line maintenance stations. It will employ 20 people creating 10 new jobs.
