SEC Interiors to Fit-Out Monarch Aircraft Engineering’s
new £2M Centre in Northampton

 

 

SEC Interiors has been awarded the complete CAT-B fit-out of Monarch Aircraft Engineering’s (MAEL) new Component Maintenance Centre in Northampton.

 

Following an extensive design and space planning period, SEC Interiors commenced works on the £2 million facility in April 2018 which is due for completion in September 2018.

 

The industrial fit-out of the brand new building on the Brackmills Industrial Estate includes:

  • The creation of a number of ground floor offices, meeting rooms and welfare areas

  • Various maintenance facilities including clean room, drying room, machine shop, composite ovens, spray booths and workshops

  • Multiple mezzanine floors to increase the capacity of the facility, being used for storage and production offices

  • An extensive electrical, heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC) installation

  • Reconfiguration of existing pallet racking installed by SEC Storage in September 2017

 

The new Centre is located mid-way between MAEL’s Luton and Birmingham base maintenance facilities, and within four hours’ drive all of its UK line maintenance stations. It will employ 20 people creating 10 new jobs.
