Read All About Our Pallet Racking Systems!

When you have worked for a pallet racking supplier for over 6 years, storage systems start becoming part of your life. And it isn't until you notice your own racking systems on TV that you realize you have the bug!

I have been with the SEC Group since November 2007, when I was a University undergraduate, working part-time. I graduated from University in summer 2009 and since then I have been delighted to be part of a company that has grown from roughly 15 employees to in excess of 30 and increase turnover by 300%.

Needless to say I love my job. I not only have a real passion for the company but industry and products too! Shamelessly (or not!) racking is now part of my life. And every time I see it on TV, it is a game to identify which manufacturer it is and if there is any damage!

I was surprised at the beginning of May as SEC Storage recently had one of its racking systems shown on TV! We have also had a number of our projects featured in the trade press which is excellent news, and a credit to everyone in the company.

Get a Tour of our Racking System, and 153,000 English Heritage Artefacts

SEC has been working with English Heritage for over 3 years and their latest £2million project has been unveiled on BBC News. This new purpose built store holds more than 153,000 artefacts spanning more than 2,000 years.

The 15,650 sq/ft warehouse, based at Wrest Park in Silsoe, Bedfordshire has a pallet racking installation supplied by SEC Storage, which provides the storage for a third of English Heritage's total stored collection.

If you're interested to see our storage system (or of course one of 153,000 artefacts) then tours are available on the first Monday of every month staring in June!

75% Storage Increase for Rolls-Royce plc!

Rolls-Royce in Filton had the requirement to install a new furnace however this would mean losing crucial pallet capacity. A unique mezzanine floor solution installed by SEC Storage along with push-back racking system not only enabled Rolls-Royce to keep storage capacity, but increased it by 75%!

I had the privilege of going to site, taking some photographs of this unique installation and getting a tour of such a prestigious brands facility!

Custom Coloured Racking Beams for Monarch!

I am extremely proud to say that Monarch Aircraft Engineering Ltd (MAEL) are one of SEC's clients. We have been supporting them for both commercial interior fit out and warehouse racking during their period of success and growth over the last 6 years.

I have previously written about my experience of visiting their brand new hangar on our Blog, but the work has been recognized over at Warehouse & Logistics News. Read more here:
