Relocation and refurbishment of MFG's new office space in St Albans
SEC Interiors has completed the refurbishment of Motor Fuel Group's new office space based at Gladstone Place in St Albans. A full interior fit-out package was delivered, which also included the removal of various fixtures and fittings from MFG's existing office, to be re-used in the new office space.
After the initial space planning exercise, which included the design of an open office layout had been completed and all terms agreed with the client, the Installations Team began their work on-site. New carpet tiles were installed to the main office area, meeting rooms and walkways to lay the foundation of the fit-out.
Full-height, silicone jointed glass partitions were then installed to form the boardroom and meeting room spaces; positioned adjacent to the reception / entrance area. The partitions were finished with an opal frost banding and MFG logos reversed out. A sound quilt was then installed to the cavity above the meeting room spaces to improve sound attenuation, ensuring maximum privacy for those using the various spaces.
A modern office space, complete with a host of colourful features
Two breakout spaces were also formed in the new office; the first being a smaller tea-point, which is situated between the main office and reception area. Dark grey kitchen units and a red tiled splashback feature were installed to form the bulk of the kitchen works, along with a Smeg fridge and Costa coffee drinks machine to finish the space. An Aircone sound attenuation system was then installed to act as a divider, separating the tea-point and breakfast bar feature leading into the main office.
The second kitchen space is positioned at the heart of the office. This space is fronted by a glass partitioned wall, complete with an optically clear, UV printed bespoke design. Stylish, wood-effect flooring was installed to the space, along with new kitchen units, mixed colour furnishings, and an additional Costa drinks zone.
All in all, the refurbishment of this new property has equipped MFG with a multi-functional workspace that is capable of housing a large and growing team. The flexibility of the various spaces on offer will allow MFG's employees' absolute flexibility in their approach to work. What more, this fit-out has also provided MFG with a distinct and sophisticated office space that has the core of the brand running through every aspect of its design, and it is a fine example of an office fit-out solution that will serve the company well moving forward.
