Approach

SEC were tasked with designing, supplying and installing multiple runs of cantilever racking at International Timber’s Purfleet, Essex warehouse facilities.

Warehouse one included the installation of eighteen uprights, all double sided with an overall weight capacity per upright (including base foundation) of 10,000 kgs. Each singular support arm has a weight capacity of 1,250 kgs and certain aspects of the cantilever racking installation are also adjustable for future manipulation and configuration. The first installation was built over an area 7,800 sq/ft approx.

Warehouse two included an installation of sixteen double sided uprights with an overall weight capacity per upright (including base foundation) of 3,600 kgs. The racking installation for the second warehouse was built over an area 7,400 sq/ft approx. bringing the total combined space that SEC worked on up to 15,000 sq/ft approx for the two facilities. The combination of both single and double cantilever systems maximised space optimisation and storage capabilities for the company.

As always, SEC’s finishing and standard of work were of the highest quality and the colour scheme along with the future adjustablilty of the system created a vibrant and fully reliable storage space for International Timber to utilise far into the future.
