Finalists at Hertfordshire Building & Construction Awards 2017

SEC Interiors is absolutely delighted to announce that our interior fit-out project for Franke Coffee Systems (UK) Ltd is a finalist in two categories at the Hertfordshire Building & Construction Awards 2017.

Franke Coffee Systems are a world leading provide of professional coffee machines, operating in cafés as well as in the systems-based catering industry. They are part of the Franke Group, headquartered in Aarburg, Switzerland employed around 9,000 across 4 continents.

Franke Coffee Systems UK head office was based in Colney Street near St Albans, Hertfordshire however after significant sales growth, the company needed to expand their office and warehousing facility. They were able to secure a new 23,377 sq/ft facility in Colney Street committing their future to Hertfordshire.

The new premises required extensive refurbishment and fit-out to make it suitable for operaiton and SEC Interiors provided a complete turnkey fit-out package, from initial conceptual designs to on-site build and final decoration.

One feature of the project was to convert an existing storage mezzanine floor into office space, training rooms, workshop and high specification showroom. This was achieved by installing a partitioned compartment wall from the base to the roof of the perimeter of the mezzanine. This provided sound and fire seperation between the new space and warehouse, locating the offices on the first floor and all other facilities on the ground floor.
