SEC Interiors Completes BT Office Extension Project
for Kuehne + Nagel Ltd
SEC Interiors is pleased to announce the recent completion of an office extension project for Kuehne + Nagel Ltd in Milton Keynes.
Since 1890, when the business was founded in Bremen, Germany, by August Kuehne and Friedrich Nagel, Kuehne + Nagel has grown into one of the world's leading logistics providers. Today, the Kuehne + Nagel Group has some 1,300 offices in over 100 countries, with around 76,000 employees.
Kuehne + Nagel Ltd invited SEC Interiors to propose a solution for the refurbishment of the company's recently extended offices. Once this proposal was agreed, SEC Interiors then looked to begin the project by dismantling the existing partitions on the first floor of the office. These partitions were then combined with new silicone jointed, glazed modules and later repurposed into the new office layout.
A general decoration package was also undertaken, which included the installation of flooring and suspended ceilings throughout the office space. To finish the project, a new kitchen staff breakout area was created, which included stylish laminate flooring and a tea-point feature for staff to use during their break times. SEC Interiors also supplied a range of furnishings, including meeting room chairs and tables, desking, accessories, screens and more as part of the overall fit-out.
High Praise: Forward Manager, Nigel Henman commented:
"SEC completed an office refit at our site in Milton Keynes; the work carried out was completed to a high standard - on time, and the communication from SEC Interiors was excellent throughout."
The resulting works have provided Kuehne + Nagel Ltd with a refreshed office space, and one that will allow the company and it's employees based in Milton Keynes to grow into in the near future and beyond.
This isn't the first time SEC have partnered with Kuehne + Nagel Ltd. Back in 2016, we worked with the company on the fit-out of their 3PL Warehouse Storage Facility, also based in Milton Keynes. This project would go on to win the 'New Facility' award at the 2016 SHD Logistics Awards, along with picking up an additional accolade at the Intralogistics Awards.
