SEC Storage installs 2nd major pallet shuttle system

SEC Storage Completes 2nd Major Warehouse Shuttle Project

SEC Storage is pleased to announce the completion of our 2nd major shuttle system project in the space of 6 months. Our first shuttle system, installed at Natures Way Foods Ltd during the summer of 2017 received glowing feedback from the company's Logistics Manager, whilst our 2nd shuttle system - installed more recently - at our client, Murphy & Son Ltd's warehouse facility in Nottingham, Nottinghamshire has also been highlighted for its space saving capacity.

Murphy & Son Ltd are consulting brewers and manufacturing chemists who provide brewers of all shapes and sizes with all the processing aids and ingredients required for the production of beer.

This semi-automated pallet shuttle solution, installed in a 5,000 sq/ft area has helped to maximise Murphy & Son Ltd's overall warehouse footprint, making the company's operation more efficient as a byproduct. A pallet shuttle system typically works on either a FIFO (first-in-last-out) or LIFO (last-in-first-out) basis, and offers some of the highest levels of storage density available on the market. If you want to find out more about this dynamic storage system, including a video of it in action then take a look at our dedicated product page.

If you think this system may be of use for your own operation, or if you are looking for general advice on how to optimise your existing storage setup then get in touch to take advantage of our complimentary space planning service. We'd be more than happy to help you find the right solution.
